What is the difference between purified peptide libraries and unpurified peptide libraries?
The main difference between these two types of peptide library products is that our PepSet are supplied as is and therefore as unpurified peptides which makes allows for a very cost effective approach to large sets of peptides. Our PepSet peptides are suitable for all types of primary screens, however, we recommend that all positive hits are confirmed using a purified peptide.
Peptides in our purified peptide libraries are individually purified to your choice of >70%, >80%, >90% and >95% purity by RP-HPLC and are also very cost effective if your application requires a purified peptide. This product is more commonly requested for T Cell screening for example, and reduced the requirement for a second screen to confirm the activity of the epitope. This product type allows us to guarantee the purity of the final product.
